Spring Break--2012

Our journey to the Oregon Coast started with a stop atop the column in famous Astoria.

A trip to Astoria wouldn't be complete without a visit to the "Goondocks."

The Goondocks

Simon's parents on beautiful Cannon Beach

This is Gemma's very first time on the ocean beach! (It was a little "cheely.")

Gracie Faye

Cape Meares lighthouse...the shortest lighthouse on the Oregon Coast.

No trip to the Oregon Coast would be complete without a visit to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

Farmer Simon and his faithful milk-producing cow.

Haha! Cheese humor.

Happy anniversary, Jim and Dee!!

Windy Depoe Bay

Gracie poses in front of Gracie's Sea Hag--the BEST clam chowder, by the way!

Exploring the tidepools at Yaquinta Head lighthouse in Newport--and touching a shore crab

Beautiful!

And no trip to the Oregon Coast would be complete without a meal at the famous (and original) Mo's seafood restaurant!

Sea Lion Caves!

Trying to find agates on Agate Beach...to no avail. It was raining sideways.

Hands-on sealife at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport.

We met Pearl, the giant octopus.

Pearl received some lunch while we were visiting. Very interesting to watch.

The girls show off their accommodations.

The whole crew.

The Miller crew says goodbye to the OC.

We stopped off at the awesome Multnomah Falls on the way home. W.O.W.

For all you "The Village" movie fans--don't these trees look a little like the creepy trees from the movie? (shudder) These are somewhere near Umatilla, OR.

Looks like you had an awesome Spring Break! We love the Oregon coast, many fun memories of some of the same places you posted about! Cape Meares is beautiful. The day Shawn and I visited years ago it was Hailing:)

I love the pics of your girls. I think of them so often. Please tell Gracie that Clara sleeps with her Lambie every night, it will always be such a special gift!

Blessings friend!
