New Mercies

I blew it. Yep. Yesterday was not a stellar day for me. I lost my patience. I got frustrated. I let my frustration out on my child(ren). Oh sheesh. Not good. And to make matters worse, my youngest daughter cannot understand my apology. My only hope is that the Lord can translate for me and comfort her heart. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit reminded me of this old chorus which comes from Lamentations 3:

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end! They are new every morning; new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness, oh, Lord. Great is Thy faithfulness."

I was also reminded of these words from Paul: "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Praise God for new mercies.

Amy, it's okay, we all have those days! Thankfully, we do serve an awesome God that is merciful. I love your honesty and care for your children.

May you be renewed with God's love and strength as you deal with all the changes and bonding in your family.

Praying for you.
